WE ARE GETTING MARRIED

WHAT ARE THE CHANCES?

What are the odds that two people—one from the quiet lakes of Crosby, Minnesota, and the other from the vibrant hills of Caracas, Venezuela—would ever cross paths, let alone fall in love? Separated by more than 3,300 miles (over 5,300 kilometers), their worlds couldn’t seem farther apart. And yet, against all logic and through life’s unpredictable turns, their paths converged. It’s a reminder that love doesn’t recognize borders, and sometimes the most extraordinary connections are written across continents.

THE GROOM

Andrew Huxford is the kind of man who lives for snow-covered peaks and the thrill of the climb. His love for the mountains is only matched by the love he pours into being an incredible father to Gavin and an inspiring example to Iggy. He’s also responsible for turning our dog Maya into a ball-chasing fanatic, and honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way. With his mischievous spirit, fierce loyalty, and restless energy that refuses to stay still for long, Andrew is impossible not to love.

THE BRIDE

Mariaisabel (Mari) Palacios is a force of nature—equal parts order and heart. With her endearing OCD and that impossible-to-contain need to speak her truth, she fills every space with intensity, laughter, and love. She loves fiercely, with a devotion that grounds and uplifts. Her son Iggy is the center of her world, and now with Gavin, her joy has grown. Years ago, she asked the universe for a good man—and now she has three. Mari’s heart is wild, steady, and absolutely all-in.

WEDDING PLANS

We're getting married in El Jebel, CO (our home) on Saturday June 6th, 2026. We’d love for everyone to join in the planned activities, but you’re always welcome to explore and enjoy the beauty of the valley at your own pace. Just knowing you’re here to share this special moment with us means the world. We love you and can’t wait to celebrate together.
Exact Location: 181 Dakota Meadows Drive. Carbondale, CO. 81623.

MORNING HIKE

On the morning of June 5, we’ll be hiking the American Lake Trail—a beautiful, moderate 6.2-mile (10 km) round-trip hike that typically takes around 4 hours depending on your pace. It includes an elevation gain of 2,000 feet (610 meters) and rewards you with stunning alpine views. If hiking isn’t your thing, feel free to enjoy a relaxed morning strolling through Aspen. All details can be found here. Please make sure to RSVP so we can have your hiking package ready for you—it includes a water bottle, so no need to bring one! Mariana Pineda (The maid of honor) will be leading a stretching session before we begin.

AFTERNOON IN MAROON BELLS

At 4:30 PM, we’ll head out together to visit the majestic Maroon Bells—one of the most breathtaking spots in Colorado. We’ve arranged transportation for everyone, so just bring yourself and your camera. We’ll provide water, seltzers, wine, and picnic dinner in a box to keep everyone refreshed and fueled. For those not joining the morning hike, there’s a beautiful scenic loop trail at Maroon Bells that’s less than 2 miles (3.2 km) and very doable—perfect for soaking in the views at a relaxed pace.

IT'S A GARDEN PARTY!

We’re officially starting at 4:30 PM and will be outside enjoying the fresh mountain air, with temperatures in the low 70s during the day and dipping into the 60s once the sun goes down—so bring comfortable shoes and a light cardigan for the evening. We’ll have tapas-style food along with wine, beer, seltzers, and liquor. We’re so excited to share our home with you and can’t wait to celebrate together.

Note: Family pictures will be at 3:30pm, so if you're a Huxford, a Palacios, a Becker, a Duggan, an Anderson, a Daniels, an Ortiz, an Alvarado, a Ducros, or a Jimenez, make your way to our home. Also, Morgan Duggan is the ONLY one with a free pass to throw hands at this wedding. It's non-transferable.

YOU'RE INVITED

INFO ABOUT THE AREA

We’re lucky to call the Roaring Fork Valley home—a stunning stretch of Colorado filled with rivers, peaks, and small-town charm. Our place is tucked in El Jebel, just a few minutes from both Carbondale and Basalt, and only 25 minutes downvalley from Aspen. You’ll get the best of everything: mountain views, great food, and that laid-back valley vibe we love so much.

AIRPORTS

Aspen/Pitkin County Airport (ASE) is the closest one to us, it is just 25 minutes away and offers a scenic arrival. Eagle/Vail is 1.5 hours away, and Grand Junction is about 2. Denver International Airport (DIA) is 3.5 to 4 hours by car, often the most affordable. Wherever you land, expect stunning mountain views along the way, they're stunning!.

TRANSPORTATION

Out here in the mountains, having a car makes a big difference. While there’s some public transit, things are pretty spread out, and many of the best spots—like trailheads, hot springs, or that perfect taco truck—aren’t within walking distance. If you want to explore the valley at your own pace, we definitely recommend renting a car.

LODGING

The best lodging options are VRBO and Airbnb, which offer plenty of cozy spots around El Jebel, Basalt, and Carbondale. If you prefer a hotel, The Hoffman and Element in Willits are the closest and super convenient for getting to all the events.

ALTITUDE

We’re up in the mountains here, with elevations ranging from 6,000 to over 8,000 feet (about 1,800 to 2,400 meters). Take it easy your first day, drink plenty of water, and wear comfy shoes—altitude can sneak up on you, but most adjust quickly.

OUR MAID OF HONOR & BEST MAN

Our Maid of Honor and Best Man are basically our emotional support humans—and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Mariana keeps everyone hydrated and emotionally stable, while Jess always finds the tequila and comes up with terrible/fun ideas. Together, they’re the dream team we never asked for but absolutely need to survive this life with laughter, love, and maybe just a little chaos.

MAID OF HONOR
Mariana

Mari met Mariana when she was just 14 and has been her mentor, boss, and now best friend. She pulled her across the country to the valley, where Mariana has been her strongest supporter and company. Mari truly couldn’t have found Andrew without her love and encouragement.

BEST MAN
Jess

Andrew and Jess have been close since they were 10 years old. Over the years, Jess became both his boss and one of his best friends—and the architect behind Andrew’s move to the valley. Without knowing it, he set everything in motion for Andrew and Mari’s paths to cross.

GIFT REGISTRY

We’ve put together a registry on Amazon, which you can find here. Gift cards are always welcome and truly appreciated! If you’d rather ship a gift, feel free to send it to our home addressed to “Mari & Andrew / Your Name” so we know not to open it before the big day.

RSVP

We’d love to know if you’re coming so we can plan everything with care—from headcounts to hiking packages and dinner portions. Your RSVP helps us make sure everyone’s taken care of and nothing gets missed. Thank you for letting us know—we can’t wait to celebrate with you!
